I just remembered this from long ago.
Does anyone that is old like me remember a small black little 1/4 inch piece if gin-sing or licorice or it may have ben anise that came in a small envelope or box. You would just put one on your tongue? This came to mind last night and I have not seen these for years. It is bugging me. thanks My oldest daughter is 63 and she does not remember this.

Licorice pastilles? There are quite a few different versions on Amazon. Maybe you can find the one you remember:

I may not spell this correctly but sen-sens. They are still available.

Yes, I remember them. My voice teacher kept them on hand to help clear my throat during singing lessons. I used to buy them at the local Rex-all Drug store. Haven't seen them in years!

Sen-Sen
My grandfather always carried them |
Oh, no! It appears that Sen Sen has been discontinued by the manufacturer as of July 2013!

Sen-Sen! I think that is the name you are trying to remember.

Could it be Sen-Sen? How funny to have that brought to mind that after all these years.
They were sold in little paper packets in the drug store. My mother used to say that the drunks would buy them before church. Funny memory! |
