Cry with me !!!
Cry with me quilting sisters. Yesterday I was just mastering free motion quilting after struggling for a long time with the concept; raw edge quilting some butterflies on a quilt for my daughter. Was so absorbed in what was going on at the needle end of the machine, I didn't notice that I was running out of thread at the top. You guessed it ... now I have a jammed shuttle and the repairman is 90 miles away.

Here's to hoping you can get her up and running soon. Sorry for your misfortune. show us the quilt when you get it done.
|
Oh dear! Hopefully you can find a way to lift the quilt, remove the face plate and clip away the offending thread.

Have done all I can Tartan. I fear its the timing mechanism. Can't fix that myself.
Here's a picture of the quilt, eleven butterflies done, five to go. |
Too bad about your issue with lack of thread. However, the quilt is very nice. The butterflies really make it pop!

What a beautiful quilt. I'm so sorry that you are having machine issues. I too live in a small town and know what it's like to be an hour + drive away from a decent size town and need something not available at Walmart.

Holy wow that is just gorgeous

The quilt is beautiful especially the butterfly's. Hope you are fixed and quilting soon.

Wow! Gorgeous quilt! That's frustrating being so far away from a repair center. Hope its a simple and inexpensive repair.

Oh No! I have run out before but never got it jammed. I love your quilt. The butterflies over the simple block is quite beautiful. I may have to give that a try.
