Need help with a pattern!

I want to make my son a quilt for him to take to Kosovo when he deploys in Jan. I came up with a pattern but am having trouble putting it down on paper, if that makes sense. Could someone please help me?

I use graph paper to plan out pieced blocks. There are computer programs that help you draph blocks but I have no experience with those.

paper and ruler plus colored pencils if you need to see in color. Graph paper online is easy to print out. don't forge to add your 1/4" seam allowance.

Perhaps if you described what you were trying to draw and the dimensions you want to achieve...ie...If using a panel, how big is it? How many colors? Do you have pics of your fabrics? What kind of fill-in blocks do you want to use or do you want a sampler type theme? You have given us very little info to work with, or did you perhaps just want to know about using graph paper, or EQ or another quilt design program?
