problem with Fiskars rotary cutter -help!
I have a Fiskars rotary cutter (with orange button) that won't let the blade stay engaged to cut.. Is there a remedy for this??? It's useless as it is....

If it's new, I'd take it back. Have you tried contacting Fiskers to see if they can help?
|
Sorry that has happened to you. If it's new, take it back. If it's old, perhaps contact the company.
On the up side ... I have had a Fiskars for about 25 yrs now, and it has done miles of cutting, with no problem. I liked it so much, that I bought a 2nd one, when I saw it on sale one time. |
Is that the safety one? If so, the same thing happened with the one I bought. I finally threw it away because, as you say, it's useless when it doesn't work.
|
It is safer closing than sticking open. That said it is useless if it will not cut. Ring fiskers and complain nicely and see what they say . They may welcome a calm set of information to stop it happening again.

Go to the fiskar's web site and send them a note. They are VERY good at addressing problems.

I have one that did the same, I sent Fiskers a email but never got a reply. It was useless as it was, so I jammed a piece of wood just above the red button, this could be dangerous as the cutter is always open, but as I never had young ones here, I don't have to worry to much, plus I keep it in a cutter Cady when not in use.
Hope you get better results with Tickets than I did |

contact them. I've had two cutters replaced for free. Just had to scan a pic of cutter and in about 3 weeks had a new one in the mail..no questions asked. Great company for cust service.!!
