Bobbin problems
Have a Singer Lightweight. Was sewing wonderful when it just started skipping stitches. Oiled, cleaned, rethreaded, changed needle, just will not sew. Please help. I know there's a simple answer. Hopefully:confused:

Linda,
Unthread it. Pull out the needle. Pull out the bobbin and double check the hook and the area around it. If you have the manual reread it. Do you have the needle in correctly? Is it the right needle? Is it threaded correctly? Is the bobbin case in properly? And like that. I'm not familiar with a Singer Lightweight but it's a sewing machine so basics apply. Hope you get it figured out quickly. Skipped stitches
My experience with skipped stitches has always come down to the wrong size bobbin...they can be deceiving. Good luck.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll keep working on it.

Sometimes the bobbins can bend a little or rub somewhere on the case - put in a different bobbin and a new needle.

Linda doesn't sound so happy! Did you try changing to a different thread?? It's been a few days since you posted and wondered if you had any luck.
