QUICK Peanut Butter Fudge

Peanut Butter Fudge

1 tub vanilla frosting (16 oz)
1 jar peanut butter (15-16 oz, depending on the brand)

Place frosting and peanut butter in microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for one minute. Stir until well mixed. Spread in dish that has been well buttered or lined with foil. Allow to set. Enjoy!

You can use creamy or crunchy peanut butter or other icing flavors (chocolate or cream cheese) to vary the flavor. This makes a soft fudge, so I sometimes add 1-2 cups of powdered sugar to make it a little firmer. I used a 11x7 inch pan; a smaller one would have made it a little thicker. If you line the pan with foil, it is very easy to just lift out to slice when the candy is firm.

Enjoy, and Merry Christmas to my Quilting Board friends.

My daughter is allergic to peanuts so I was wondering, do you think this would work with Nutella or one of the new peanut butter alternatives?

Don't know for sure, but seems like it would, quilterdunn.

As a peanut butter lover, that sounds yummy! Also very sweet. Thanks.

This recipe also works with any can of canned creamy frosting....melt the chocolate or white chips, stir in the frosting until you can't see any streaks, then pour into a foil lined pan and refrigerate until firm. It will be soft. I just made strawberry fudge (white chips and strawberry frosting) and it was YUMMY! Nutella may be too soft for what you are doing with it; is almond butter or cashew butter more the firmness of peanut butter? Either way, you could do as somebody mentioned and add some powdered sugar to firm it up.
