Christmas present for best friend
 

Here is the picture of the wallhanging I made for my best friend. Friends for 45 years (yikes, that sounds like such a long time!!!)
We don't live close to each other, but try to talk every week. She is a quilter too and like me, struggles to find time for it amongst all the other demands of life!
The pattern came from a kit I bought at the Grand Rapids, Michigan AQS show and I made the wallhanging from that. If anyone really needs to know the name of it, PM me and I'll look it up.
The surrounding fabric is from Connecting Threads.
In this picture the buttons aren't sewn on yet, I was auditioning the wallhanging with and without them!
