Singer 301's how many different colors?

I have a 301A that is black and tan. I have been looking at pictures on the quilting board, also on the web and haven't seen any that look like mine. I have the original bill of sale with the machine. Does anyone else have one or seen one this color?

Yours is likely a machine cobbled together from parts of other machines or repainted. They only came in mocha, mocha and oyster(two tone) and black. They never came in black and mocha:<

I saw a Holstein-colored one some place (I’m in dairy country, but I think the owner called it “Tuxedo-colored”). I guess it could be called “Polecat-colored” too, if you’re not into tuxedos or Holstein cows....

They used the off-white parts from an LBOW model on a black machine. I kind of liked it!

Dumb streak alert:

What does LBOW mean?

I've seen other abbreviations for the 301 too, but don't have a clue.

LBOW = light beige oyster white (i.e.: the two-toned version). I used this acronym around people not familiar with it and they started to giggle. They thought it sounded like a personal ad :D

LBOW = Light Beige Oyster White (the only 2-tone ones)

*** I have never seen those colors together.

*** My 301A is total Mocha (my favorite).

Actually, I think that “Mocha” is a new word for that color. As far as I know, Singer called it “Beige”.

There are three basic colors, all beige (or mocha if you prefer) Beige/cream like the 401 series, and black.

Anything else is from someone putting parts from different machines together. I drove a blue care with a red hood and a brown fender for a while - but I never thought it came that way from the factory LOL!!

And yes, I also had the title to the car, so having an orginal Bill does not mean it parts weren't swapped out because something got bent/broken or someone just felt like doing it.

Has anybody seen a black long bed or a LBOW long bed?
