Handi Quilter Class

I am a current member for over a year and I am not familiar with your group but I need your help. I recently purchased the Avante and I am planning to go to HQ Headquarters to take one of their courses. What I really want to know if someone has attended their classes and if it is worth it. Thank you for your help in advance.

I also have a HQ, took a class from my local quilt shop and found it well worth the time I spent. Learned how to load, different quilting techniques, some short cuts, just to name a few. I've had mine for about 6 years and have been very glad for all the info learned in the course.

I have HQ Avante 18 with Pro Stitcher purchased with a friend. Love it but need more time just quilting. Was hoping someone would start a PRO STITCHER blog or class here. We have taken a class locally. I spoke for an hour and a half with a quilter while we vacationed in Florida. Lots of youtube and Handiquilter resources. Need EXPERIENCE :)

Not willing to go west ... want to stay on east coast

I went to their workshop for beginners. I also bought the Avante. I felt the training was excellent. The teacher were patient and had a wealth of information to share. The women I shared the class with we're wonderful and came from all over. I'm saving up so I can take the second level class.

I won a contest and went out to Salt Lake City for some classes. They were FABULOUS!!!! The staff is wonderful also.

if I had more money I would go again in a heartbeat.

I have a Gammill instead of an Avante, but I took my Gammill class and it was well worth it. All kinds of tips and tricks and just the basics that you won't necessarily get by just practicing on your own. I would highly recommend a class for whatever machine quilters decide on.

I have gone to the beginning class and the one for the pro-stitcher. GREAT. I think they have rearranged the classes some now but they are worth every penny. They answer all questions and when you are quilting (you have your own machine!!!!) they walk around helping you all the time. The classes are great, the food is great and the hotel was very good too. Loved both classes and would enjoy more if I could.

I took classes before I bought my Avante and Pro-stitcher at the shop to makeup my mind about the purchase. Well worth the time and money. They brought in an instructor from Handi Quilter. Enjoy your classes!

Thank You very much to all of you who answer my question because I am making an effort to go to that beginners classes but the price went up this year plus hotel and air tickets it not easy. You always afraid to spend that kind of money and then your are disappointed.
