Wow! Great price for 50wt which is what I use for piecing. Thanks.

What weight is best for piecing? Machine quilting?

I use 50 wt for piecing. I've used 50 and 30 wt for quilting.

For piecing you want to use 50wt, they are very limited on the colors for the 50wt threads. I think these must be colors that didn't sell because they are below even wholesale prices. I think right now she is paying around $6.50 wholesale for the 1300m size

I really like the 40 wt for quilting. Thanks for the tip, I will make an order. I made one last year and they have an awesome customer service. They called me because I ordered a bunch of colors they didn't had in stock anymore but forgot to put off the list on the website. They offered me the matching color of Genziana for no charge. Very nice folks.

I buy the door crasher sets of Aurifil 50wt and 40wt. when available. Shipping is very reasonable. I buy the jumbo spools of 60wt and 70wt thread. The other thread sold there is the same if not better then Aurifil. I buy the grab bags for color variety.

I agree, I found no quality difference between the Genziana and the Aurifil. The Genziana may be a bit more shiny.

This store is in Canada and the fine print says there might be customs duties. Is that just for large orders? Minimum postage to US is $9.95 up to 6 spools, but that is a good price on Aurifil.
