Thoughts about the Juki HZL F600
Just wondering what people think about this machine?
|
I love mine, the box feed is great. I have not used it for quilting but it is used the most for all my other sewing.
|
I had both the Janome 6600p and the Juki F600. (Long story about how I ended up with both). For reasons I never could figure out, I really preferred the 6600 for most sewing. I re-homed the Juki to a fellow quilter and she absolutely loves it for both fmq and piecing.
She makes 6 quilts to my 1, so it's getting a workout and isn't giving her any problems whatsoever. |

I have heard many great things about the machine. If i could afford i would not mind having one.

I've had mine for a year and love it! My favorite things are the beautiful straight stitch, thread cutter, buttonhole stitch, serpentine stitch, no tension issues, quiet operation and no fuss with different threads. I have also found the free arm to be useful and I plan to start sewing some clothing again. I use it for piecing and quilting small projects on occasion.

I love mine. Got it for Christmas last year. I just finished a UFO that I hated doing the blanket stitching on my old machine, on my F600 it was so fast and easy. No thread breakage or tension issues at all. My only complaint is it was a pain to set down into my desk. The bottom row of buttons and the power cords are positioned badly. But it is worth the hassle and extra cut to have this great machine.

Juki makes a fabulous machine. I have a 98, and a F-600 - strongest motors of all the machines. I just bought a 2010. Great machines

I am only looking to use this machine to quilt...possibly a few home projects. I don't do ANY garment sewing. Which one of these two machines is better for that in your opinion? I'm just really having a hard time deciding between the two... or Janome 6600. Ugh.. |
I have never used the 98 or the 2010 but they are really designed more for quilting, the 600 is a better all round machine(fancy stitches, free arm, good sized harp). If all you need is a machine to piece and do free motion quilting and a walking foot for strait quilting I would check out the 2010.
