Did anyone sign up for free Glowy thread?

I got a package yesterday that had three spools of Glowy thread. The invoice said free samples selected on July 7, 2013. I don't remember but I must have signed up from a link somewhere. It sure took a long time to get here. The thread glowed in the dark in my sewing room. Fun.

I never heard of it before. What is the content of the thread ? Be careful of it. Hugs

Glowy is a 40 polyester glow-in-the-dark thread. Safe for children's clothing, pajamas, and pillow cases. Charge in natural or artificial light. Glow time lasts up to four or more hours night after night. Washer and dryer safe. Do not bleach. The sample was three mini cones of three different colors.

Cool. I bought some embroidery thread that was supposed to glow in the dark, but it didn't, very much.

I can tell from the dark closet I put the thread in to test. The glow lasts for about 4 hours and recharges fast in any light. I guess I can find something to sew with it, I don't embroider. It's a fun item to have in the sewing room when the light is off. The grandkids will like it.

I bought some of that thread and used it in a Halloween crossstitch picture

I use Superior's Glow in the Dark thread. I originally wanted to FMQ a whole quilt with it but I was doing a QAYG method, which requires pressing the blocks after FMQ. I melted the treads on the first 2 blocks and had to pick them out. So use a not-so hot iron. Now is use it just to quilt my GD's names on the front of their quilts in one of the borders. It does work.

I have some of that thread that I brought at Joann a couple of years ago. It does glow in the dark. I want to use it on a Halloween wall hanging.

I used some in a quilt a few years ago. It really works.
