Necchi 543?

Hi! I bought a Necchi at Goodwill recently. The nameplate says Electra Super SX-4000, but I can't find any info at all on that name. It looks similar to the Necchi 543 I saw on a sewing machine parts site (picture from the manual). This one came without a manual. I bought it because it's so pretty! I would post a picture but have not figured out yet how to do so.

Has anyone ever heard of this machine? It was made in Japan, it says. I can't find any of the standard numbers on it. I want to clean and oil it, then try it out. I watched the video on how to clean a vintage machine and realized this isn't really very vintage. Only about as old as my kids!

Thank you!
Margaret

if you do need one here's the link to the MANUAL but you just need to pay though.

Hi Margaret
Just had a look on the Necchi Yahoo Group models list and there are only three listed as being made in Japan between 1980 and 1987 - the 541, 543 and 549 models.

Thank you both! It looks most like the 543. I think I will go ahead and order the manual, which covers 541 and 543 - I'll have a 67% chance of being right, and I'm sure I can work with it regardless. But church comes first. I'll sneak in a prayer for keen eyes and steady hands! Have a lovely Sunday!
