Spray Adhesive
Can you tell me which spray adhesives you use before you quilt. I tried the Dritz adhesive and was very pleased with the results but wondered if I was overlooking other types or brands. I have only quilted 3 quilts on my home machine so I'm still trying to figure this out. Thanks for you help and opinions.

I have used 505 (don't remember the brand name) with very good results. Just a bit of spray holds the batting and fabric together wonderfully.
|
I know that there is the Sulky brand and the 505 brand. I have seen both brands used in different tutorials on YouYube. I bought the 505 brand from Nancy's Notions, it was just on sale you might want to check it out.

I use 505 but watch prices and can sizes.

I've had good luck with the June Tailor brand sold at our local Walmart, but have not hated any of them I've tried.
|
I have used the Dritz brand and find it very comparable to 505. I had a can of June Tailor but the smell was awful, they may have improved it , since my first experience with it, but found Dritz and 505 to suit my needs.

I have used the June Tailor brand also and it worked quite well. Now I have switched to the glue basting with Elmers, with all the puddling and squinching, the back lays perfect without folds.
|
I have used both June Taylor and Dritz. Have to say that I prefer the Dritz.

and cotton batting works best with this spray.

I've used Sullivan's spray baste. It's very stinky, so don't use it inside unless it's a very large room. And don't overspray, it doesn't take much to make it stick.
