D4P Black/White/Brights Swap - Finished quilt pics
6 Attachment(s)
Here's my finished quilt from the b/w and brights D4P swap in December. It was a really windy day yesterday, so I had my daughter hold the quilt over the railing and my DGD to hold each corner. That's the only place I could take a good pic of it since the ground is still drying out after our winter weather last week.
I used this quilt to practice my FMQing and followed Sharon Shaumber's instructions to attach the binding. Makes for a straight and strong binding. My FMQ leaves a lot to be desired, a lot of the reason being my machine only has a 6.5" throat space and it's hard as heck to fit a 68"x68" quilt in that little area. But I did. Now on to more challenges. Going to try to enter a wall hanging into a quilt show. |
So pretty. Lovely quilting. I love the pictures of the kids and the puppy. Good job.

Looks really nice, you can always add the betting in sections so there is not so muc bulk under the arm, there is a craftsy class about quilting on small machine, haven't taken it yet but ann peterson is just so good that I have already taken 2 of her classes
