I posted a few months ago my newly re merchandised Sewing room with all new furnishings.

Since then my hubby and I painted my room my favorite color, Pink! A very soft shade of pale pink named; Ballerina Gown from Behr paint. I LOVE it! My wonderful hubby helped me hang shelves for my doll collection.
A few days ago I made an ironing station from my old Shape n Press boards. I tied two of them together with bias tape. Covered them with a layer of warm and natural batting and a layer of Thinsulate. Then I added a cute print to cover the boards. I love the results and now my 2 shape n press boards don't come apart when ironing.
The absolutely BEST thing is my new lighting system. With the new regulations for incandescent light bulbs being phased out we decided to upgrade the lights to the LED lightbulbs. I will preface this by saying they are frightfully expensive! However, they are warrantied for at least 25 years! I chose the 'Daylight' (the brightest) for my ceiling fixture. My sewing room is now flooded in bright, clear, 'true color' light!! It is fabulous!!! I have no trouble seeing while cutting, sewing etc anymore!!

I thought I would include a few updated photos with the last of the changes. I am sew sew happy with my new sewing room!! I am now working on some quilts to add to the main wall.

It looks wonderful. Great choices. Thanks for info on the lights.

Congrats on the updates! Love the pink walls (mine are too), and nice shelves for your collection. The board looks great!

It's a very beautiful quilting/sewing room. I wish mine were half as nice.

Please excuse the wrong information on the lightbulbs. Their warranty is for 5 years... not 25. I seriously do have some bulbs that are guaranteed for 25 years.
Apologize for the misinformation. :o

The lightbulbs are not pretty by any means but they sure do put out the light!!
Thank you for the kind comments.

I have a lightbulb that was given to us by our power company, SDG&E, that were guaranteed for 25 years in 1985. It was never very bright, but is still working today. I have it in our closet now. Before, my youngest had it in her ceiling light because she never liked a very bright overhead light. She used a bedside lamp to read. When she moved out, I put a brighter light in her room and moved the bulb to our closet. Thought several times about getting rid of it - but just can't.

I read somewhere that those bulbs are guaranteed for so many hours/years of service only if the light is on continuously, shutting them off and turning them on shortens the life of the bulb. Can that be true??
