? About Bernina 930 & 830 (older models)
Can someone tell me if the slide on table for the older 930 will fit onto an older 830? I know that the attachments are interchangeable. How about the table and the knee lifts?

Although I've had an 830 for 40 years, I can't answer your question because I don't know anything about the 930's.
If you don't get an answer here, I'd join the BerninaThirtysomethings Yahoo group because someone there will be able to tell you everything you want to know about those machines. |
I do not know but the machine look different.
In my opinion the 930 look like a larger machine. |
The 930 machine is larger but I think the place that the table slides on is the same as that of the 830. I had an 830, sold it and bought the 930. It was hit by lightning. I have a chance to buy an 830 at a good price, but there is no table or attachments with it. I know my attachments will fit it and I'm hoping the table will. If it does I will buy the 830.

No, the 930 won't take the 830 table. They're a whole different animal. However, you can get a big acrylic sew table made from "Dream World." Your local Bernina dealer should be able to get that. Or, the Bernina dealer may have an old sew table in their "bone yard" that they might sell you. The knee lift, however IS interchangeable.

Thank you.

Do you know if the 930 table and attachments will fit on the 931?

Does the 931 also have the needle up down foot control? Thank you.

The 830 was Bernina's top-of-the-line model for over 20 years (they just couldn't improve it so they didn't!) and the 930 came along later. So no wonder the pieces are not interchangable. I now own my third 830 and it's worth it's weight in gold!
