Looking for a pattern
I saw a quilt several years ago made of 2 1/2" strips sewn diagonally. In a large triangle section of a lower corner, the strips were sewn in a different direction. The color arrangement was what made the quilt so lovely. Does anyone know where I can find a pattern for this quilt?

Was this the one where you make up a certain size block (10.5" would take 5 strips). Take 2 of the block, place right sides together, sew around the outside, and then cut into quarter square triangles? You press the quarter square triangle open, and reassemble the blocks so that the stripes are pointing in different directions.
Another good size for making with strips would be 13.5" - 14" (42"/3). |
Hmmm, sounds interesting. I hope someone comes up with the pattern.

I googled "diagonal strip quilt" and found one that sounds like your description at www.theprojectgirl.com. See if that is it

Not sure if this is the one, but that description reminds me of the 3 Dudes quilts. Below is a link for one of them. I have seen them done a little differently depending on who has done them. If you do a search here for them you will find several variations, some with sashing. Good luck on your search.

I just watched the 3 dudes quilt on Missouri last night--thought that was a great idea!
