Black & White Baby Quilt

My 4-week-old granddaughter is mesmerized by anything black and white, so my daughter asked me to make a B&W quilt for her. Using fabrics from my stash, I thought I'd use the no-diamonds method for baby blocks but soon ran out of the fabric I used for the tops of the blocks and decided I would use them as a center medallion and just add borders all around until it got big enough. It ended up at 44" x 44". Backing is a black and white jungle animals print.

That is one fancy baby quilt! Love it! The fabrics are really pretty!

Beautiful job! Love the tumbling blocks in the middle and the mix of the different fabrics. In 1971 when I had my baby I taped black/white pictures in her bassinet. (Had no money). I read back then that black/white stimulates a baby's brain. Your grandbaby will love it!
