Suggestions needed for photo wall hanging.

I am making photo wall hangings for two of my granddaughters graduating from high school this spring
I have all the photos transferred to fabric. They are different sizes so I'm stuck with how to proceed to make I look ok. If they were all the same size it would be easier. I have googled for ideas but have not found anything I like. I'm a relatively new quilter and still not extremely confident in creating without a pattern. I have 8 photos each from baby until recent. It won't be a large hanging. Any suggestions welcome.

This might work for you. Create a basic background and then machine applique the 'framed' photos onto the shelves.

I would try an attic window quilt. With each window the size of your pictures. You could add fabric borders to the smaller pictures to bring it up to size. The borders could be the same fabric color as the out side of the small picture.
Some attic window ideas.
