I found a block put together with 4 of these blocks on Block Library from EQ7: there it is called "Garret Windows"!!

May I ask what EQ7 is?

It's the "Electric Quilt" (edition number 7) program: you can design blocks and quilts at your PC, any size, any color, any size!! And there is a so called "block library" with many many blocks and their names!!! There I found this pattern!!!

Because of the angles involved, and because I would prefer that the triangles on each side be whole rather than pieced, I would consider paper piecing for this block.

You could make a 9 patch and then snowball the two corners. That expression is when you pin a square and sew a diagonal line, press it back and you have an instant triangle in the corner. I love my Electric quilt tho I have an older version of 5.

It does look like this block, but the piecing isn't the same. I like the paper-piecing idea.
