I saw this link or picture on here for this baby thing and cannot remember the name of it. It has cereal wrapper in the middle to make it noisy. Can someone tell me the name of this and if you saw it Where? Thanks ladies.

I saw it also. Don't remember where, but seems to me it was on a blog. She made squares with hanger-on-ers for small hands. Yes she used the cereal liner bag for the crisp sound. I thought them cute and I can see a little one just learning to hold something would b
be intrigued.

They're called Taggy Blankets. I just made two for my twin grandbabies. There are tons of free patterns online for different ones. I saw one yesterday that was so cute! The center was a large yellow Minkee circle with the ribbons going all around the circle. The center had a face and became a cute sun! Be sure to use as many different textures as you can when making one. They're for sensory development. I used different ribbons and pieces of rick rack- silk, grosgrain, woven, etc.

I made a taggy block for a dear friend's new baby and she loved it. To make a block I used the cereal bag and a metal bell that I sewed into a little fabric pocket to keep the stuffing from silencing the bell. I used six different 5" square and the super fluffy batting and left it a little squishy for grabbing and put two tags on each side. Easy Peasy. For the bell I just used an extra Christmas bell.

If you use any kind of plastic food packaging for this, please take off one side of the bag. If you don't, it will hold moisture and bacteria and viruses will thrive in it even after washing and drying.

I made just a red white and blacks square with one side of a food packaging bag i as the middle of the little quilt sandwich for my grandson. He loved it, for the visual stimulation and the noise when he was playing with it. He has outgrown it now.

I have a friend who does the same thing but uses two washcloths instead of fabric sandwich

My son said that it makes a great cat toy, too.
