I was so excited. Things like this does not come around very often. Our town had their annual yard sale and this was out with no price on it. I was looking up the date on my smart phone while talking to the owner. His wife had a handful and his kids took the ones they wanted and this poor girl was left. He asked $25..yep..pounced on it.

Now to figure out what model she is. I know she is 1950 with a Centennial badge.

It looks like a 201, they have a very good reputation. Nice looking mid-century table too.
If you want exact model and date it was authorized to be built check out ISMACS.

I forgot to add. They use standard (15x1) needles and class 66 bobbins. Both are easily available. I recommend buying your bobbins from someone like Sew-Classic.com. The Singer blister pack bobbins found in places like Walmart and Joann's are narrow compared to vintage bobbins and may not fit your bobbin winder correctly.

Glad you snatched that one. I too, believe it is a 201 and you will love it. Some time back I was able to pick up a centennial 201 for $10 with no accessories, manual or cabinet and I thought I got a pretty good deal. Most of the accessories you can find so no problem there.

I saw an ad on my local garage sale page on Facebook for one that looks like yours. She said make an offer so what is a good price? It is electric & suppose to be working. I believe it had that gold medallion on it too. It came in a wooden carry case.
