Just for parts? Seriously?
I could be jinxing myself but I just bid on this.
http://www.shopgoodwill.com/viewItem...temID=16435283 This looks very good for $5 and not for just parts. Gail |
It probably works fine. Be careful of shipping costs.

I've looked at that one too. I'd say it's OK, but do check out the top tension, something about it doesn't look right in the pics.

Okay, I will let you know. Ahem, with my vast wealth of knowledge regarding old machines, not. For $5 plus shipping it is something I can play with. The pretty Pink Morse went for $139.

Common sense kicked in for me. Grandville is about a 2 hour + drive from me. When you add in gas, etc., and that it looks like it needs rewiring, I backed off. Sure was pretty though. I will have to add one of those to my wish list. Also not sure the cabinet would have fit in my Terrain.
Joe, what looks funny on the top tension? I am such a rookie on this stuff. Do you think if there is something wrong, it is fixable? |
I don't see a tension spring...
|
Well, someone has outbid me so I will just let it go. The expressway was all jammed up on Monday so I took some backroads to reroute and bypass the congestion. I passed an Antique Mall that I wasn't previously aware of. What I found online says they have 400 vendors. I think I need to check it out this weekend.
I honestly don't need another machine. This is just pure entertainment at this point. |
Seems like the tension spring would be hidden from view in that shot that shows the tension assembly.
A lot of the machines on their site are sold as "for parts" machines. Probably easier than doing any sort of testing on the machine. |
