My Wonder Clips (Didn't know they had a name)
4 Attachment(s)
As many of you on the board know, I have a very talented husband. http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...d-t243621.html
Recently, I have seen posts referring to Wonder clips and I have even watched a video on their many uses. For a few years now, I have been using them and didn't even know they had a name. If you have a handy husband, you take a pants hanger from WalMart (they throw them away or allow the customer to keep them) and you cut off the "clip" part, sand down any rough edges and wahlah, you have clips to hold your binding in place, etc. He even attached one to the back of a board in the shape of a hand. This has a knob on the bottom so that you can attach it to your work table. It allows you to clip anything you are working on to this so you have both hands free to use. Great for ripping out seams. We have called it the Third Hand and it works great. I never thought of taking the clips off, but I do use the hangers to hold my stripes after I've cut them. Thanks for the tip!!

Cute idea! I use those hangers for hanging my seasonal table runners in the closet when not in use. I have also folded some quilt tops in quarters and hung those as well. Very cute third hand!!

I had my husband do this for me awhile back. Just love them

What a great idea! Why didn't I think of it??? Love the third hand! We could all use an extra hand once in awhile! Ingenius hubby!!! :-)

Great, inexpensive idea!!

Cute third hand!! :) Great idea for the clips too.

Very cute! (Love the nail polish!)
As my name implies, lol, I'm experienced with rippin' seams... And my "third hand" to rip seams more quickly is the presser foot on my machine. It holds one end very well so I can use both my hands to Rrrrrip. :) |
Your husband continues to be amazing!!!! What a find. (You didn't need to include a link for me, I remember your beautiful lavender machine and the long arm arrangement he made for you too.)
