Pink Atlas--can you identify ?

1 Attachment(s)
There is this lovely pink Atlas sewing machine in my neck of the woods. I've looked hither and yon and have found many pink Atlas SM's, but almost all of them seem to be ones which just do straight stitch. The owner couldn't tell me the model number, nor does she have a manual.

Any one know more about this machine ?

I'm sorely tempted to buy it, not that I *need* it, you know how that goes.

Thanks, Sue

I know nothing about Atlas, but I say buy it, if a good price, then do the research..

Well it is pink unless it is just the lighting in the photo and made in Japan - I don't see Atlas written on it. It has a built in cam stack. If you do go look at it check to see if the dials all work and if it does all the stitches.

Looks like the Atlas logo in the center of the bed.

I would have bought that one..snap! Very neat machine.

If the price is even remotely reasonable I say buy it. It's a nice looking machine in a decent shade of pink from the photo. IIRC some Atlas and Brother machines were made in the same factory.

If it was in my neck of the woods, I would have been on it like a tick on a hound dog. I agree with Mark, the logo on the bed looks like the logo on my Atlas straight stitcher.

Ha--just as I suspected, QB is full of enablers !!:) Way over $100 is too much for me. I'm helping educate the seller, and when she finds out no one is going to buy the machine at her price, I'll come in after awhile and offer her a more reasonable one. At least that how I hope it will work out.

Anyone know of Atlas/Brother SMs of this era with the cam stack and decorative stitches ?

I have a Brother with cams but not the camstack.

Pretty machine but over a hundred would be too much for me too!
