Very reasonable prices

I read a post on here about Happy Crafters and how inexpensive they are. I email them for a quote on a quilt I'm doing 72x82. For them to add the backing, do the quilting, add the batting and binding the entire project will cost only $74. Since I haven't a clue if that's a great price or not, any advice? Is it in the ballpark?

I know that they quoted prices for the backing, batting and binding because I asked them to. For just the quilting they said $20 for an overall easy design which sounds really good to me.

That sounds really good to me too. It's almost too good to be true. Do they have any pictures of their work or references?

yikes. that price is unreasonable in the direction of the value of labour.

I'd get some references. Sounds too good to believe. I paid around $70 for a lap quilt to be quilted with batting. I provided the backing and took it home to bind it.

I'm with the rest - that sounds scary-cheap to me. Maybe send them something you're not all that attached to first and see how that goes before you entrust anything really important to them.

I definitely would send something I wasn't particular about first. Backing alone (not on sale) would cost at least $40

I agree, scary cheap, like . . . someone's not being very well compensated for their time. Or, they have quilting robots do the work. Are we sure they are happy crafters and not exploited immigrant labor crafters? I had not heard of this group/company before.

that would barely cover the cost of the materials...

I don't understand how you can get quality materials and quality labor for that price.
