help my machine is sewing backwards!!the only way I can sew forward is by holding the reverse button,

Have you tried unplugging, leaving the machine for a minute or so, then plugging in and trying again?

Probably needs a cleaning. Something is blocking or shorting out the normal use of the button. If it's bad wiring or loose wire you might need more than a cleaning.

Humm.... I agree with Prism - unplug it and let it sit for a while. If this does not work, then try calling a Pfaff dealer or calling Pfaff directly. As these machines have "software" in them, you may have pushed some sequence of buttons to end up there - and if so it might be as simple as pressing a few buttons. If not, you may have to just bring the machine to a Pfaff repair shop.
