What is your favorite Fusible Web for aplique?
 

I need to make a semi-landscape quilt & was wondering what is the best light weight fusible webbing to use. Any suggestion please. Thanks everybody.

I like HeatnBond Lite.

Me too. Just follow the directions and it works like a charm.

MistyFuse. It holds well but adds not even the slightest bit of bulk or stiffness.

Steam a Seam 2. I checked the website the other day and they are still saying production will be in the fall.

I use Wonder Under (Pellon 805) exclusively after trying many other brands, including those listed so far plus a few others. Some of my reasons asre:
It is easy to hand stitch through, even in multiple layers.
It never gums up hand or machine needles.
I can run it through my inkjet printer to get accurate copies of patterns.
I can transfer patterns directly onto the fused web so I don't have to dull my scissors/cutters by cutting the paper.
It's readily available and low cost.
It's the widest fusible web available.
It is consistantly reliable and, in my experience, never goes 'bad'.

I too prefer Heat n Bond lite. Usually get a 5 yard roll when notions are on sale with free shipping around Thanksgiving at JAF online.

Misty Fuse and Sharon Schamber's applique foundation paper. Both are top quality and never a problem with bulk or stiffness.

I have always used Steam a seam 2, and my LQS purchases it by the box for me. I will be so glad when we can get it again, although I am not out yet. I have made dozen's of applique quilts using this and love it. I hand stitch around my pieces with embroidery floss using the button hole stitch. My quilts wash beautifully.

Steam a Seam has been discontinued for a long time now. I read it was suppose to be produced again but with different paper being used as the paper supplier quit making the paper for it.
