Bernina 750 EQ

I am in need of some knowledgable quilters with this specific machine or at least someone who is knowledgable in using the BSR (Bernina Stitch Regulator.)

My question is: Can I change the stitch length when using the BSR or does the BSR chose the stitch length?

I have Googled and You Tubed with no success.

Thanks Jerri

Sorry, My Bernina was made before this model. You know you can always contact Bernina of America with your question if no one on the board is able to help you.

Jerri, you should have an instruction booklet inside your BSR box. The directions recommend different stitch length settings depending on the application. If you're doing small, tight curves etc. it should be lowered down. Hope this helps.

You can change your stitch length somewhat. The BSR is "reading" the movement of the fabric so how you move the fabric will effect the stitch length as well. I tend to put up the stitch length if I am quilting a extra thick quilt and the stitch length down for thin quilts. I usually just have my stitch length on the machines default setting for most quilting.

The default setting on my Bernina is 2.0. I change my BSR setting to 2.5. That setting works for me; but I am no expert.

Thanks. I will try that now or for future questions.

How do you like your Bernina 750 QE ? I'm considering an upgrade. I just posted a new topic asking if anyone had this machine. I set my stitch regulator on my 730 at 2.8 ... just a length that works for me.
