I did my first pair and they turned out well. I will be doing some more for Christmas after I pick up some more zippers. Anyone else finished theirs?

What size zippers do these call for?? I thought the pattern peice looked like a sleeve pattern from a childs dress.LOL!

The tutorial states 7-9 inch zipper under materials needed I think? I think mine was a 7 inch that I cut off the extra before turning right side out. The top edge of my panties measure 5 inches when finished but I don't know what size they are supposed to finish at. I opened the PDF on my iPad, took a picture of the pattern and traced it off the screen. If you are not computer challenged like me, you can print out the actual pattern.:)

Very cute Tartan. I will be making many myself.
Zippers: I order zipper from an Etsy company in quantities. My standard zipper length is 9". So far that works for most things I use zippers in. I can then cut them down when making something smaller. I feel I get more bang for my buck this way. |
