I am thinking about making my SIL a lap quilt to send her for her to use during her Chemo for bone cancer.
My question is what color? I know that Lavender is for ALL cancer and cancer awarness and Black and Pink is for Bone marrow, but what I am looking for is one for bone cancer...... I want to do a couple of the ribbon blocks and prob a rail fence or DP9 Sorry if this is in the WRONG spot but I am so confused now I am scared to post a new topic BUT I need help. |
So sorry to hear about your sister.
I think white is the color for bone cancer. here is a link to the site that tells all of them, just scroll down and they are on the left hand side. http://quilting.about.com/od/comfort...bin_colors.htm |
I add my wishes for a complete recovery for your SIL.
How nice that she has someone to make her a quilt. Ninnie, your reference was quite enlightening. I had no idea that their were colors for all the cancers. |
Thanks ninny I am thinking now that I will do it in Lavender and white.
I know the ribbon will be white and the rest of the block will be lavender and then do either a rail or DP9 in 2 shades of lavender and a white....ok got to search for lavender in my stash LOL I cant watch Dirty dancing so might as well do this LOL |
