Juki TL-2010Q

Does anyone have this machine? It has a much larger throat area than mine or most that I have looked at. Would be used strictly for FMQ and is $999 right now. I saw some really nice ones with large throat area but I don't have and won't ever have $4,000 for a machine. I really want to hear from you if you have used this machine.
Thank you,
Evelyn

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE mine!!! I use it for piecing and quilting. I bought mine site unseen based on reviews I'd read over 1-1/2 years ago. It's easy to use and has been perfect right out of the box. I have never had to touch the tension at all. It isn't fussy about threads either. I highly recommend it!

I have the previous model, the TL-98. It's my favorite machine and the one I use the most (even if I also have a Bernina 730 and a midarm on a frame). You can't beat the power and the speed of the Juki, so for piecing and straight line quilting, it's the best. I'm not very confortable with FMQ on it, but this older model doesn't have the speed control like the 2010; it's too fast for me. I had the choice of upgrading to the 2010 or get a frame and a midarm; I choose the midarm because I got and excellent deal and I HATE basting, but for for FMQ I would have been happy with the 2010. I think this machine is the best choice for a quilter and I cant't imagine anybody not being happy with it.

I have a TL2010Q and love it... bought it from Ed Raichert that QuiltnNan linked to (above)... great price and free shipping. This is the BEST machine for quilting. It does such a wonderful job. It's simple, mechanical and not computerized, all metal and not plastic! You can't go wrong.

How can it have needle down if it is not computerized?

This is a wonderful machine. I can only repeat what everyone has already said.
I highly recommend it also.
I also have the Juki F600 which I use for everything else, but for FMQ, nothing
beats the 2010q.

I have it and love it! I have had nothing but perfect stitches. :)

Just a heads-up-- the 2010Q is the machine to have; the 2010Qi does not have speed control, and this machine is FAST! Double check the model before you buy.

It has a microcomputer for speed control. Its "guts" are otherwise like a mechanical machine's.

I smile every time I sit down to use my 2010. Its stitch is more beautiful than a Bernina's, imo (I've compared them). And it sews multiple layers of denim wo so much as a hiccup, unlike the Janome Horizon I used to own.
