Military quilt for a friend

Imagine this...... I've known this gentleman for a couple of years now. He was in both the Army, and the Navy, and now he helps with all of the military funerals through our local VFW. It turns out that he had gone out on a date with my mother back in the late 1930's! I'm surprised that he could remember that, and even more amazed because neither one of us presently live in Pennsylvania, and that's here he met her all those years ago! Anyway, he is a wonderful guy, and I wanted to do something special for him, so I did a whole cloth quilt with some military quilting. I'll try to add a few pictures, and see what happens.....

What a great story!!! Isn't life amazing at times? I love this quilt. My husband served 21 years in the Coast Guard so military quilts are a pull for me to always check out. Your quilt is awesome!!!

That's a great quilt. I"m sure he'll love it. Probably be telling all the guys at the VFW about how the daughter of a woman he used to date made it for him :)
