Eldridge Pritzgraff Treadle Machine
 

My girlfriend who gave me the Husqvarna 500 texted to tell me that she is giving me an Eldridge Pritzlaff Treadle Machine that had belonged to her Grandmother. I will pick it up after the first of the year. I don't know anything about it, except she said it is a 1903 model from Paris. If anyone knows anything about this machine, I would appreciate the info.

Sorry that I know nothing about it except for the fact that the table is lovely with all those ornate designs on it! Someone in this group will have some info. for you for sure. You have a nice friend too!

The machine and treadle stand was made by national. Look at the name Pritzlaff on the stand, you'll see that's a bolt in piece. National did that so they could make one stand yet have different brand names.

I know I have seen Pritzlaff in the past, not coming up with what that was. The cabinet ( wooden part ) looks European

I have to wonder if ? Pritzlaff was able to buy just the machine and stand, then make there own cabinets

I found one very much like this last year at a garage sale and purchased it.
Pritzlaff was a Milwaukee, Wisconsin Hardware store. I was told that National made them (as someone else posted above.) Mine was in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin for much of it's life. In one of the drawers was a 1910 silver napkin ring. I'll need to post some of my photos. I need to do some digging around for the serial number.

I have an Eldridge that has the same cabinet and irons with the name Eldridge in the iron. It belonged to my dh's aunt who was born in 1906 and it belonged to her aunt. Dh's aunt said it dated to the late 1800's, but I know nothing more about it. I basically bought it for the beautiful cabinet. I stood at the auction with my hand on it and another lady did the same on the other side of the machine. We were the only two people bidding on it. I paid $125 for it 25 years ago.
