Need help

I am making a quilt out of the McCall's Quick Quilts Mag. I have the first blocks done and ready to trim but it doesn't say how big they should be. So how do I figure it out? The blocks are Block in a Block using a 73/8 square and a 5 3/4 square cut into triangles. Can't seem to figure it out no matter what I do. Usually it tells you the block size but not this time. It is Chelsea Flower Garden kit I purchased 2 yrs. ago. Help Please! And Thank YOU.

Do you cut the 5 3/4 block into 2 triangles. If so then the block should be trimmed to 10"

Thank you. I had a feeling it was something like that because they are all between 10 3/8 and 10 1/4. Guess it will be 10 inches.

What size are the plain blocks in the border?

the plain blocks are one stripe piece. I have decided to go with the ten inch trim. I will maybe have to fudge it some but it just for an extra quilt for our house. Thank you for your help.

I believe those measurements should give you a 10 1/2" block, finished at 10". But if they're all trimmed to the same size it shouldn't matter much, though your border measurements may have to be adjusted.
Those border blocks look the same size as the inner ones, also the star block on the corner - how big are they?
