I found it ,, I have been looking for a 401A for 4 years , it is in really good shape. But I cant find the singer web page to find out what year it was made #N8760905, And I will need a printable manual also, cams,, also feet. DottieBug

http://shop.sew-classic.com/Slant-Shank-Feet_c10.htm is one source for slant feet. I hope you can find some cams to fit.

DottieBug that serial number starts with NB, not N8.

I got my 401 at an estate sale. I was lucky enough to get everything with it. It was kept in good shape. Mine is in a desk cabinet. There are a lot of videos on YouTube for cleaning an maintaining your machine. I clean mine everytime I use it. Not hard at all. Maintain/lube when it needs it. Once month for good measure depending on how often you're going to use it. My DH actually really used it before I did. It does everything. Just Google the manual. 52 pages long.
