Last machine purchased for 2014

I know this one is rough - but they are so few and far between that I bought it anyway. Looks like someone tried to scrap off the White label. I figure this will be a good candidate for a new paint job.

It's got provisions for two needles - which is neat. This machine is quite small, more the size of the Singer 128 than a full size machine. It does take Singer type shuttle, bobbins and needles.

What a strange choice of needle plates on that machine. It looks like someone chose to use both round and half moon styles.

And the only way I would take a White home is with the badge taken off so I am pleased to hear someone else had the same idea. :P

It looks kinda like a Singer 306 to me. Is it a clone?

Why do you say that? Just curious.

Kind of wondering the same. The Whites I've messed with-both the FRs and later Japanese badged machines have been well made, at least comparable to Singers or other Japanese machines of the same ages.

Cathy, is that a long bobbin machine? And do we get some closeups?
It looks very interesting to me.

There is nothing wrong with the machines. I just do not like the word.

Yes, this is a long bobbin zigzag machine. It's set up to easily use two needles, so that will be fun to try.

This is one of those machines that once I new it existed, was on my "must have" list. If I ever find a nicer one, I'll upgrade, but at least I've got one!

Here she is next to a Singer 15-90

The shuttle carrier

And bobbin winder (and damaged nameplate).

As to it being a White - that's just the nameplate.

It is cast J-C34 on the underside of the bed.

And the needle bar - notice the notches on both sides for two separate needles.

BTW - I'm sort of collecting White machines that aren't white. Besides the black, I've got a green and a blue so far.

That would be an interesting machine to try out. Vs , zz and reverse. plus twin needles !!!!!

I've seen Black whites of that body style for sale ( in photos ) but never notice the position of the plates.

Okay, now I have to post a pic of the green Morse that was at our PNW get together. I wish I would have gotten more detailed pics, this is the only one I took. It's pretty much identical to your White.

Ok. We can change it to "Cracker".
