Notions and small tools storage and organization: need ideas

I'm trying to find a way to store efficiently all my notions and small tool. I have three different sewing machine with different feet and bobbin, several kind of scissor, etc. I have a great system for storing thread, needle and fabric, but the other small tools end up in the drawers and it's always a mess. Do you have a system for these? Show me pictures! Thanks.

I keep my misc. Bits and bobs on a cookie sheet so I can pick it up and move between machines. Both my machines use the same bobbins and feet so that makes it easier.

I fill my drawers with small boxes cut to fit. I use any old box I can find. It breaks the drawers into small compartments. You can use boxes that fit your tools and notions. A place for everything and everything in its place.

I use a small scrapbook tote with handle and LOTS & LOTS of pockets. I just pick it up & go. All my machines feet are in different storage boxes just for that machine so that is the only thing extra I have to grab (regarding the small tools)

Check out this; I have one and I love it. And, they are on sale right now. It doesn't show it in the add, but there are a couple of little drawers on the bottom.

I don't know what its called but, I have something I bought at Joanns. Its on casters, and the drawers ( really more like small bins} slide out and are different colors, and there are 10 of them. It sits right beside my machine and holds all that miscellaneous stuff. Very handy!! Oh and the frame is metal.

Do you have separate tables for each machine? If that is the case I would probably make the investment in duplicates (triplicates) of staples (cutting tools; bobbins; seam ripper, etc) for each table so you are not running hither and yon each time you need to do a particular task. Take a look at the various little storage boxes at JoAnns to see what fits in the various drawers. If you don't have machine-specific tables, then the rolling storage cart would probably be the hot tip.

Parts cabinets for hardware storage work well. They are units with small drawers. If you want to keep the parts with their own machine get a 6 or 9 drawer unit for each table or work area. Get one with more drawers if you want to keep all the parts for all the machines together. .

I bought one of these on ebay..got rid of the tops and spoons, and it is great. I have marking pens/chalk in one, scissors in another, and my seam rippers and screwdrivers in the third. I don't think these are being made anymore, but if you do a search for "tupperware condiment caddy" many pop up.
