Singer 1952 15-91

I just fell in love all over again. I opened up my 1952 Singer today and saw how beautiful she is. It has
been awhile since putting her away. She might be old, but she has no wrinkles. Even her decals are
perfect. The only improvement that I see I could make is cleaning her little 1/4" foot. Would any
of you know what I could bring back the shine with. I would be so grateful. Thank you

Rubbing alcohol is great for dissolving dried on oil. It works pretty well for screwing up shellac topcoats like your machine has too. Be careful not to get the alcohol on your machine. I'd take the foot off and soak it in alcohol then wipe it down good. If it's still dull after it's clean maybe hit it with some Brasso or Liberty metal polish.
