Have you see this website?
I believe this will be by next project, after I finish up the two that I'm on. Trying to decide whether to do to solid colors? Or choose a fabric I really love and making the background a pale solid to match??And then decide if I'll do the borders around each block or not. If any of you have made this I would love to see a pic. Its all HST's.

i haven't made it, but it's a pretty impressive quilt in black and white.

That is very cool. It would be a great project for beginners, as well. I'm just wrapping up a BOM so I'm not sure I'm ready for another one, but thanks for sharing!

I forgot to mention in earlier post that if you click on jan or feb 2014 she has a pic of the quilt she made. Done in black and white with red borders around each block.

It looks like she didn't finish it, or at least she didn't do the tutorials for all of it, the only blocks I was able to find were 1-3 and nothing after that.
|
Being a sampler, each block does its own thing without regard to the others - But the solid b/w makes my eyes a little cross when I look at it. Very modern! Were I to attempt it I think I would soften it up with scrappy prints or do less high contrast. I like your idea of using a great fabric and then backgrounds in matching solid.
Good luck with it and please post your pictures! |

I think I finally found one that DD and I can do together....she lives in Chicago, me in Indiana.....HST are a breeze if you do them lots at a time, just hate the trimming ;(....thank you for posting this link!
