Illusion Bargello center almost 1/5 done
 

This is a Bargello pattern called Illusion by Dereck Lockwood. I severely underestimated how long it might take to create this, but here is where I am so far. This is eleven rows of 47, and the pattern is starting to emerge. I certainly feel better about it than I did, as I couldn't figure out if I was doing it right or not. (It is hard to tell some of the colors apart on the Color Chart.)

Surprisingly enough, I have found that taking a picture of it helps me see the pattern. My quilt inspector, as always, is right here helping, so just ignore him. He just doesn't like to be left out.

Thanks to those of you who told me I was on the right track and just to "Keep Calm and Quilt On."

Hmmmm, the picture is a bit dark though. Will try to figure out why later...
