Quilt pattern question

1 Attachment(s)
This quilt has been in our family for years.
No one knows for sure who quilted it.
My question is does anyone know what the name of the pattern is?
Thanks in advance.

Never have seen one like it. It's great, tho. You are lucky to have it.

I don't recognize it but try Googling Windmill quilt blocks?

This cross is sometimes called a biker cross but is a derivative of an Iron Cross ...which has ancient roots

Looks like a version of the Maltese Cross.

On EQ7, a similar block without the colored stripe is called Arrowheads.

Found it. Thank you Basketman. It's called The Iron Cross.

Thank you all for your comments. It is a beautiful quilt. Both hand piece and hand quilted. It doesn't have batting on the inside. It has layers of muslin. It is also made out of old feed sack material. It's very old. I gave it to my oldest dd. She is into antiques and family memorabilia. She will hang it up on a quilt rack. To fragile to put on a bed. We think it may have been my great grandmother who made it but have no proof.

The closest one I found is #3083 from Encyclopedia of pieced quilt patterns, called Raleigh or Tennessee Circles. Here is a link to a site talking about it. It is the third one from the left. http://talesofastitcher.com/2013/10/...into-9-part-i/
