I recently posted an ad for a Janome MC6600P. A member of your forum was kind enough to point out that I had not introduced myself, and the members of this forum might be skeptical about buying from someone from nowhere!

First, I apologize. Seriously, that never crossed my mind.

My name is Liz. I am from Pennsylvania (20 miles north of Philly). I am not a quilter. I make custom draperies, bedding, upholstered pieces, etc. I posted on this board because I was told that the Janome MC6600P is a quilter's dream! Unfortunately, it isn't working out for what I need.

I will take some photos of the machine, and post them with my ad. Hopefully that will help to comfort you by knowing I actually do have the machine, and accessories in my possession!

Thanks a bunch for your patience.
LadySco

Hi from Australia, I have one of these machines and they are fabulous for quilting. Maybe you may take up quilting and perhaps keep the machine?

you know, Ladysco, some of us, sew as well as quilt. I did for some 40+ years...and then got interested in quilting. Keep reading and looking around...and you never know. You might get bit by the bug.
I understand about the machine.
I have the janome6600, and for quilting, it really is great, so somebody is going to strike up a really nice bargain for both of you.
Yes, somebody was helpful, we are full of that here, lol.
You don't have to quilt right now, to read etc. Hope tings work out for you. :D

Hey, hang on to it for a while and try quilting. Once you start you are totally hooked. It is more fun, more relaxing and even moreso with a nice glass of wine to go with the fun of sewing. Pick yourself out a nice spot, put the sewing machine there, head to JoAnne's and get some fat quarters, check on line for fre quilt blocks and you are set to go, lady!!!!!!!That was how I did it and look at me now! No, don't look at me now!

As the old commercial goes -- "Try it, You'll Like It." Good Luck! Edie
