Hunter's Star quilting suggestions please
1 Attachment(s)
Hunter's Star top is done! Used the Rapid Fire ruler by Deb Tucker & like how it turned out. It does take a little time but I could not have done the bias edges without it. I would like to quilt it myself but need something simple. I usually do a fairly large meander but wondered about in the ditch & outlining the stars. I have not done feathers, wreaths etc. & don't want to 'practice' on this one. I have a gold/bronze Isacord that I was thinking of using but could just use mono-poly. Would like to use silk batting to make it lighter weight, there may be issues with wool sensitivity. Any suggestions are appreciated. :)

Oh My ....That is so pretty. No suggestion on how to quilt it but what you have is beautiful.
|
beautiful job...i like your quilting suggestion of shadowing with your quilting

Fantastic quilt. I would shadow the stars to make them pop and in the ditch for triangles or small zigzag.

Thank you. I have wanted to do 1 of these for a while so of course had to do it for a wedding gift 1st time. :D
|
I would keep in simple and echo quilt where pieced just once with 1/4" width like what a hand quilting would do.

I agree with Dottiemo. Love your quilt and I recently bought that ruler. I can't wait to get started after seeing yours! What a beautiful job you have done!

Sorry can't tell how to quilt but it is beautiful

Oooh very pretty! It came out so nice! I like DottyMo's suggestion to make the stars pop! Lovely job, I'm sure the happy couple will love it!

You could stitch in ditch around each petal of the star, then do a smaller meander in the triangle squares around them. That would make the stars pop.
