Under "settings" there is a link to change your password.

I keep requesting a new password but I am unable to change it. Keeps telling I entered an invalid password. What are the rules about password strength please? If I don't fix this soon I will leave the board and that will make me sad.

If you are able to post on the boards, that means you are logged in.

You should then be able to change your password in the user control panel here:

the system will only accept strong passwords now.

To keep your account safely secure, we recommend using a strong password that is not used on other websites. Be cautious of any suspicious links and always make sure you are on https://www.quiltingboard.com before entering any login information.

We strongly discourage the sharing of your password with others. Please also make sure your computer is up to date with the latest software and anti-virus program updates.

What Makes a Strong Password? We consider a strong password to be one that is unique to the forums and not used by you elsewhere online. Our passwords require the following:
  • A minimum of eight (8) characters
  • At least one (1) lowercase letter
  • At least one (1) uppercase letter
  • At least one (1) number
  • At least one (1) of the following special characters: @ # _ $ % ^ & ! ~ ? *

We also recommend the following for your password:
  • Do not include personal information such as your birthday, date of birth, or address in your password.
  • Avoid commonly used words like "password" or the name of the website.
  • Do not use sequences such as "abcd", "123", "asdf", "jkl" or "qwerty".

Thank you. Now I could change it to something I at least have a hope of remembering.
