My Scrappy Hexagon
5 Attachment(s)
A good friend (from England!) taught me how to do English Paper Piecing. I had no plan in mind when I started this quilt, just kept putting pieces together. Only took 1-1/2 years and one household move from California to Oregon to complete. It is completely hand pieced, hand quilted and hand bound. It's kind of nice to know that I can still complete a quilt without the benefit of a sewing machine.

*** W * O * W Super NICE QUILT. *** |
I love your colorful, scrappy quilt. And all done by hand, while moving from one state to another! This reminded me of the women who moved West in the prairie schooners. They did their quilts by had too, using scraps they had, and also moving from one place to another. It's like you are continuing the tradition!

What an awesome quilt! It is beautiful and the fact that every stitch is done by hand is almost beyond belief. With a move in there, too. You should be very proud of this quilt!

Beautiful quilt! I love hexagons and am just about to start another one if I can decide on the layout (did the GFG you can see in my avatar). Yours is an option I haven't considered so far...
