White machine information

I am trying to find a good resource for white machines. I found a White Dressmaker in a thrift store yesterday. The electrical wires need to be replaced and looks as though it just needs some TLC. The caninet needs cleaning up and decorative pull handles. For the machine and cabinet is $15.

The serial number on it was 127-76904. Does anyone have any idea what circa and model this one is?

I don't know about the model. It looks pretty good to me. Looks like it needs a slide plate, do you get a bobbin or anything extra with it?

For $15.00 I'd take it in heart beat.

It takes a big slide plate. I have parts for it and am parting out a similar machine. Don't have that part though. It takes the big bobbins that some Kenmores use. They are still available. The bobbin case is different than Singer though. The light will clean up nicely with chrome polish. It is older than the White 77 and may be magnesium, metal, but can't be sure. Both of mine are magnesium, which doesn't hold paint very well. Your paint looks GOOD for the age of the machine so it may not be magnesium alloy.
