New little lady came home with me!

Singer 99 from 1936. Really nice condition and only $25.00 for both machine & table. A question about the plug...
Cord in very nice condition, but no cover over wires on plug, is it safe to use?? She looked so lonely in the antique store, but she is now warm & cozy in my sewing room! |
very nice!!!

She's a beauty, but I would get a cover for that plug, to be on the safe side! We've used cords without covers before, but it's not a good idea!

Thank you Jeanette, that is what I was thinking too.

I was thinking the same thing too. At least now they have a happy home. Oh the story these machine could tell us if they could speak.
|
Congrats on your "new" machine! :)

Nice machine. You don't see 3/4 size cabinets that often. Yes the cord is safe to use. Just because though I make my own wire covers from cardboard. Used to be you could buy them at hardware stores, but I don't think so any more.

Very nice!
I have the same machine and cabinet. Had my son pick it up for me in GA, and I brought it home the next time we were down there. I really like that style cabinet and like Joe says, you don't see the 3/4 size ones that often. |
Nice machine and great price!

Great looking machine and cabinet...mine is in a cabinet too, did not know that was unusual I will store that info away until I gift it to my daughterinlaw.
