What I do on vacation

We are spending time in a small Illinois town with DHs mother, and there's not much to do. I found some old attachments and seam binding in a junk shop, so I'm studying up on some of those feet I never use!

That is always fun to do. What site are you on?

Rodney 01-01-2016 10:59 AM

That's something I need to do more of. I know some of the basics on how to use the more common ones but they require practice to be able to get the most out of them.
Does MIL have a sewing machine you can use them on?

My best friend called me this morning. She has been staying up at her MIL house in Oregon and I can tell she is bored and getting ill.

You have my condolences. Just spoofing you.
If you actually get some of those attachments to work, how about posting some tips. My track record for using them is about ..... well pathetic. I've never been able to get the binders to work, big or little.

It's a book on my Kindle...The Sewing Machine Attachment Handbook. It's great!

I don't know why I've never tried a binder foot. It seems like it will be great!

I finally have the hemmer foot mostly figured out but the binder does have me stumped. I will be trying that one soon but need to move some stuff around first to get to my attachments boxes.

I will look for that book. I might even have the hard copy version somewhere buried in the craft room.

Meant to say that I like the cover with that cool attachment holder.

I'm from a small Illinois town also, Maroa, IL. I know about not much doing. Sewing is a worthy activity. Good for you.
Donna
